I do not plan to use AI in any capacity from now on for this class. I have many ethical concerns about AI, from its environmental impact and water usage, to its plagiarism of art and academic papers in its training process, but I also don’t believe it to be personally useful. In my experience, rather than enhancing my abilities, using AI dulls my skills, creativity, and thought production through disuse. I understand that AI will change the world, and us with it, but I don’t believe the individual human effect of using AI ‘creatively’ will be positive.
